ZEF’s research agenda and strategy have, of course, evolved over the past 25 years in response to changing trends, global developments, and national and international policies. But some of our research themes have remained at the core of our research and capacity development activities. In this chapter, professors and senior researchers from our Institute have summarized their work in these areas by identifying challenges, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations for future projects and efforts.
