Over the past decades, ZEF has established research partnerships with researchers, policy and decision makers, academic institutions, research agencies and international organizations at the local, national and international levels. These partnerships have grown into a global network with hundreds of points of contact and cooperation for joint research projects, but also for teaching and training. In particular, ZEF’s network in West and East Africa has made it an important pillar of the University of Bonn’s internationalization strategy. In recent years, the focus has shifted to strengthening South-South cooperation, e.g. between West Africa (Ghana) and South America (Colombia).
Here, we share impressions from a selected number of ZEF’s years-long institutional partners from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
